The Sidney Green Family
Familly Tree...nuts and all!
Sidney Fay  joind the US Navy in December of 1939, and served in the Pacific Theater in WWII as a machinist mate.  After the war, he left the Navy but after a short stint as a truck driver, reentered the service and served a total of 27 years, retiring as a Chief Petty Officer.   While attending a techincal school in Albuquerque, NM, he met and married Billia Stephens, who was originally from Melrose, NM.   After Sidney retired from the Navy in 1967, the family settled in Escondido, CA.  After Billia passed away in 1999, Sidney moved to Oregon where he lived untill his death on Dec 7, 2011. Becky married Jim Turner, and they owned a 7-11 in California before selling out and moving to Madras, Oregon in 2001.  

Skip joined the Navy after High School, and tricked the Navy into sending him to college.  After a 20 year career, which included service in the first Gulf War (Desert Storm), he also retired from the Navy.  Along the way, he married Cathy Jean Powell, and they have two children, Amanda Jean and Joshua Sidney.  After traveling the country to find a new place to live, Skip and Cathy ended up in Western Montana. 
Amanda lives in Sacramento with her husband, Keith Casey, and children Sarah, Tyler, and Jared.  Keith operates a delivery business, and Amanda creates medical bracelets for children.  
After a hitch in the Marines, Joshua earned his degee in International Business, which included an Internship in Germany.  He is currently employed by Science Applications International Corporation. (SAIC) in Harrisburg, PA.
      
Doyle Wayne served as a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division, and a brief stint as a road manager with the famous “San Diego Chicken” allowed him to see the country before settling into a career in electrical line work.  Working his first 25 years as a lineman and line foreman in the southwest, Doyle has been a lineman and general foreman in the Pacific Northwest the past 7 years.  Happily settled on a farm in southern Oregon with his wife, Kat (Petsadiotes), his beloved wolfdogs, horses and livestock, and surrounding forests and wildlife; Doyle, an avid outdoorsman, continues his lifelong passion for knives and firearms as a collector, amateur competitive shooter, and aficionado. 

        Billi  ("I refuse to use the “a” or the Ann") Green married William H. Chapman Jr. in 1987 they have two daughters and live in San Diego County. In May 2004, Bill and Billi together with a business partner started an elevator service, repair and modernization company. They started with just the three working out of a storage unit and a small office by 2008 they had grown into 3 branches and 60+ employees. In 2010 the company sold to Schindler Elevator where Bill is still gainfully employed. 
Their oldest daughter, Kaitlyn Holly born May 8, 1990 graduated from Valhalla high school in 2008. She played varsity field hockey and excelled in photography. Kaitlyn began her college career at Cuyamacca Junior College in San Diego, and will graduate from Channel Islands State University in May 2012 with a BA in psychology with an emphasis in children and a minor in English.  She is currently applying for Grad schools for her masters and is planning on continuing her education to get her doctorate.  
Kendal Nicole, born March 3, 1993 played  4 years varsity field hockey and Graduated with honors from Valhalla high school. Kendal spent 5 years volunteering every Saturday  with horsemanship for the handicapped and several more hours a week at Willow Glen Ranch taking lessons, riding, and caring  for the program horses.  She is now enrolled at Northern Arizona University majoring in pre vet and minority in criminal justice, and is working towards a career as an S.P.C.A. officer.
Billi was very blessed and was able to be a stay at home mom for the majority of the time as the kids were going up.  After all the years as class mom, girl scout leader (2 troops) field hockey booster club and all the other volunteer hours she is working through the empty nest syndrome by taking cooking classes and working on all the little craft and sewing projects for which there never seemed to be enough time.

Areta worked as a telephone operator in Tupelo, MS after high school, and after WWII married Ralph Burrage of Noxapater, MS, an ex Navy "Sea Bee" who was a heavy equipment operator (cranes, bulldozers). They moved frequently, living in Texas, Mississippi, Alabama and Tennessee.  They had two children,  Ronnie Joe and Patrica Ann.  After Ralph's accidental death in 1977,  Areta lived in Booneville with her mother Ercell until her death, then remarried to Norman Rone. Widowed again, she died in March 1994.

Ronnie Joe finished degrees in mechanical engineering at The University of Memphis. He married Donna Echols of Booneville, MS, and is a professional engineer in Millington, TN. They have three children,  Eric Sebastian, Brian Patrick and Wendy Quinn.
Eric, also a graduate of U of M,  is a police officer in Germantown TN and a Major in the National Guard. He served in Somalia and Iraq where he earned a Bronze Star.  He has a son, Nathan Christopher.
Brian Patrick holds an associate degrees from State Technical Institute, and is an executive in the metal buildings industry.  He has a son, Wayne Patrick.
Wendy is yet another U of M graduate, and is married to Narthaniel Quinn.  They  live in Arlington, TN where they have two children: Abigail Hope and Ethan Martin.

Patricia Ann graduated from Union University and has enjoyed a career as a registered nurse and hospital supervisor. She and her husband, Douglas Morgan live in Nashville, TN and with their numerous dogs, cats and a horse named Chip.
Euple graduated from Mississippi State College for Women (MSCW),  then married George E. Harding, Jr.  She became a school teacher in biology and life science at Leeds High School, in Leeds, AL.  George was a quality control engineer for Crown, Cork & Seal, a maker of bottle caps, and the family lived for short periods in  Atlanta, Georgia (1960-62) and Dallas, Texas (1963-64) before returning to Leeds in April 1964.   George Jr. died on November 15, 1976 following a brain aneurysm, and Euple still resides in Leeds. Euple and George had three sons: George E. (Eddy) Harding III, James Sidney (Bubba) Harding, and William (Billy) Terry Harding.  (Celebrity note: Euple Harding was the seventh-grade science teacher of Charles Barkley of Auburn and NBA fame.)

George E. (Eddy) Harding III attended Birmingham-Southern College (BA-1972); Mississippi State (MA-1974) and the University of Tennessee-Knoxville (PhD-1985).  On December 29, 1974 he married Sara K. Harding (née Willoughby) of Meridian, Mississippi.  Eddy taught in the Knoxville City School System for one year (full-time) and then at Southeastern Community College in the University of Kentucky system for one year.  In 1987 he became a professor of German and French at Francis Marion University in Florence, SC.  Sara is a Spanish teacher at West Florence High School.  They have two sons, George E. (Ted) Harding IV and Stephen Terry Harding.
Ted is married to Emily Harding (née Willis), and their son is Jonah Boyd Harding. Ted is a realtor in Florence, SC, and Emily works for the State of South Carolina Social Services in Florence.
Stephen is an insurance agent for "the duck guys" (AFLAC) and is engaged to Kelly Maxey, who is finishing a degree in biology and chemistry at Francis Marion.

James Sidney (Bubba) Harding did a tour in the US Air Force and returned to Leeds to join the police force. He then moved on to work as an electrician and in social work. He married Cathy of Birmingham.  They have one daughter, Marie Elizabeth (Beth), who is married and has one daughter, Sidney.

William (Billy) Terry Harding is married to Linda .  He is a survey foreman with an engineering firm in Birmingham, Alabama. They reside in Odenville, Alabama.


Clell J. Green joined the Navy during WWII  at age 17 and served as a radio man. After the war, he completed pharmacy studies at Ole Miss and UT-Memphis, then married Francis Ina Cliburn of Biloxi, MS.  Clell spent most of his career at the VA Hospital in Denver, CO and they still reside nearby in Aurora. Their daughter, Joella, married Steve Carroll, who is a Baptist minister, and they and live in north Georgia. Clell's son, Eddie, learned furniture making in Springfield, MO, now has a successful commercial interior finishing business and also lives near Atlanta, Georgia.


James Dudley (Jimmy) Green attended North East Mississippi Junior College after graduation from Booneville High School in 1951, but in 1952 during the Korean war, seeing he was about to be drafted, enlisted in the navy.  After boot camp and Radio school, Jimmy served 19 months aboard the USS General J C Breckinridge, a troop transport which ferried troops and equipment from San Francisco to Korea.  As part of the crew, he crossed the international date line sixteen times in the 19 months he was aboard the Breckinridge.  After the Korean war was over Jimmy spent the rest of his four year hitch stationed on Guam. After leaving the service, he attended Mississippi State University and graduated in January of 1960 with a B S degree in Industrial Management.  He was hired by the Armstrong Rubber Company into the management team, and set up and managed the Armstrong distribution center in Jackson, Mississippi, where he stayed until 1984.  When Pirelli Tire Company bought out Armstrong and became known as Pirelli, Armstrong Tire company,  Pirelli shut down the Jackson distribution center and sent Jimmy to set up the distribution center in Fort Worth, Texas, and then promoted him to Warehouse Operation Manger.  As warehouse operation manager, he set up and supervised distribution centers in Fort Worth, Texas; Milwaukee, Wisconsin; and Miami, Florida.   He reopened and managed the Jackson Mississippi distribution center and was a consultant for the Des Moines, Iowa and Jackson, Tennessee distribution centers. In 1996 he retired with 38 years of service.  

In 1957 Jimmy married Faye Lowery of Holcut, Mississippi. They have two sons, Gary Lane Green, who was a fireman in Clinton Mississippi until his death in April 1999, and David James (Jamie) Green, who married Carol Newby and lives in Clinton.


John Wayne (Johnny) Green graduated from Mississippi State with a an accounting degree and spent his entire career with the Mississippi State Highway Department in Jackson. He is married to Patrica Baggett  of Jumpertown, MS.  After living for many years near Jimmy in Clinton,  Johnny and Pat  now live in Booneville. Their oldest daughter, Belinda Ann attended Mississippi College where she met her husband, John David Crowe.  They have 3 children (Elizabeth Ann , born  09/16/1990,  John David Jr., born 08/17/1992 and Sarah Beth, born 10/14/1995.  They live in  Birmingham, AL. Carmen Elizabeth graduated from Mississippi State with a degree in Interior Design is married to Joseph Kaleel Jabour.  They have two sons (Joseph Michael, born  01/08/1998 and John Robert, born 02/07/2002) and live in Vicksburg, MS. ,
